Factary and THINK develop relationship

January 1st, 2005

The Factary has formalised its working relationship with THINK Consulting Solutions, the leading international consultancy for not-for-profit organisations.

The two companies have worked together for UK and international clients for many years. In formalising the relationship, THINK has acquired a minority stake in the Factary. By playing an active role on the Factary board, THINK will contribute its expertise to support the development of the Factary.

At the same time, Factary principal Chris Carnie becomes part of the THINK team as Associate Director, Knowledge Management.

Chris Carnie comments: ‘With our offices in Spain and the UK we take a genuinely international perspective. This fits neatly with the role THINK plays with European national charities and with international NGOs. We believe that together we can develop new and better services for the fundraising community. THINK’s stake demonstrates their commitment to working with Factary while at the same time maintaining our independence.’

Tony Elischer, managing director of THINK, added: ‘We have known and respected Chris both personally and professionally for many years. There is an obvious fit between the high-level strategic work we do and the high-level donor research pioneered by Chris and his colleagues. And, crucially, there is a values fit between THINK and the Factary. We are both committed whole-heartedly to developing a vigorous and successful not-for-profit sector, and we share an approach to client work that is all about integrity, confidentiality and creativity.’

Over the coming months THINK and the Factary will be pooling specific areas of expertise to develop new services and information streams for clients.
